We have many times seen a situation in India where there are requirements of pets, and that is on any condition. Generally, people don’t prefer a female dog in the home except from a business point of view. Often in the Rural areas we can see some female dogs in the homes which belong to Indian breed, but in town there is no demand for having an Indian breed dog. A female dog give birth to around 8 to 10 dogs at a time, and if she doesn’t have any shelter possibility is that only 1-2 dogs are going to get survive.
Suffering of Female Dogs in India :
In India, female dogs are not considered as an insignia of power, royalty, and presentation. Therefore, we can see this around us that many times female dogs are being treated like a burden and only seem to be seen from a business point of view. This scenario is not applicable for everyone, but in most of cases it is. A female dog who is not having any shelter and is living on the street, is left untouched from every kind of basic amenities what a female dog should get during pregnancy.
Inhumane Behaviour around us:
There are many videos and proofs where we have seen a female dog being raped by human beings. On the grounds of humanity, it is not an acceptable behaviour. One should report and condemn such incidents. Therefore, one should always treat a female dog with more care and humanity.
Issue in own species :
Cruelty is not limited only to humans; there are several cases encountered by us at the animal level. It is often normal to see that a male dogs are doing forceful intercourse with a female dog, and when that female dog is shouting or asking for help, we neglect or do not have an adequate solution to help her at that time. This is a very sensitive topic that can be neglected by saying that it is not good to enter into the lives of animals. Let me put some scenarios infornt of you, [1]. We have seen many times in our society that whenever a thief is trying to enter into home that a pet in the home puts in whole efforts to stop the thief [2]. We have also seen a situation where if someone is doing any illegal activity, then mostly dogs [ might be some other pets] put their line to stop that. [3]. A situation I have seen where an old female was living in a hut in my village with his husband and a pet, many times when his husband was going outside of village due to some work, at that time the lady was living with the pet only. These were some real incidents that I have encountered, and you have too. Just recap your memory and see what kind of situations you have seen where your pets /neighbours’ pets/family members’ pets have helped. Therefore, it’s our responsibility to help them and provide them with all possible aid whenever it’s required.
Conclusion :
A female dog is just like a female human being, and one should respect the feelings, emotions, and necessities of the female dog. At least we should not give them more pain. We have taken the example of female dogs, many other female animals that are domestic in nature like cows, cats etc when left abandoned on streets face the same scenario.
